Jisoo proudly shares “BLACKPINK is the greatest and most meaningful achievement of my life”

Showcasing seven designs from Dior’s creative directors, the pictorial pays tribute to the fashion house’s legacy, including the iconic New Look 1947, one of Christian Dior’s earliest designs that remains a timeless symbol of elegance. Beyond fashion, Jisoo reflects on her solo music, acting career and personal philosophy in this exclusive interview.

How have you been feeling lately?
“The past year has been a whirlwind, with back-to-back projects finally being revealed. It feels a little chaotic and unorganized in my mind, but at the same time, I’m proud to see everything coming together.”
Two years after “ME”, you released your second solo album “AMORTAGE”.
“Like the album title, which combines ‘amour’ (love) and ‘montage,’ I wanted to capture growth through love and heartbreak. I hoped for it to feel like a well-crafted film, portraying the journey of love and separation. I’m grateful that so many people understood and embraced the meaning behind it.”
The music video for “earthquake” introduced geek-chic and rock-chic styles. Which concept was your favorite?
“I loved the geek-chic concept in the office scene the most! I wanted to visually express how strong emotions can strike unexpectedly, and I think that scene captured it well. Filming with glasses on was also a fun experience.”
What part of the album-making process do you enjoy the most?
“Exploring new genres. Whether in music, fashion or music videos, trying something for the first time is like completing a quest, and I love the thrill of it.”

You launched your own label, BLISSOO, and made all the major decisions for this album. How has running a company been?
“Sometimes, knowing that so many people rely on me feels like a huge responsibility. But instead of just focusing on the tasks at hand, I want to create an environment where everyone enjoys the process, so I’m working even harder.”
“Newtopia” showcased your bold and fearless side. What did you take away from that project?
“Working with great people taught me a lot. Watching my character, Young-joo, push through tough situations without hesitation inspired me personally as well.”
You’re currently filming the 2026 drama “Boyfriend on Demand”, which is set in a virtual world. What motivates you to take on so many projects?
“I want to experience different perspectives through roles that contrast with my own personality and values. It’s also a way to show various sides of myself.”
Was there a particularly emotional moment in your acting career?
“The final scene of ‘Snowdrop‘ was incredibly difficult and heartbreaking. Thinking about Young-ro carrying on despite her immense loss made me tear up naturally.”
BLACKPINK has announced a world tour. How do you feel about reuniting with your groupmates on stage?
“The best part is having friends to share the experience with. After working solo for so long, I miss traveling and eating with the members. Most of all, I’m excited to see BLINKs who have waited so patiently. The biggest challenge will be maintaining my stamina, so I’ll be focusing on fitness and self-care throughout the tour.”
Looking back on your nine-year career, what do you consider your greatest achievement?
“BLACKPINK. That will never change.”

If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
“I don’t have any regrets. I just want to continue growing and showing my best self.”
You’ve mentioned that you accept what has happened and easily let go of negativity. But how do you cope when things get tough?
“I write. Expressing my thoughts on paper helps me process and release emotions.”
Is there anything you fear?
“Not really. I don’t dwell on the past or worry about the future.”
What makes you happy?
“I find happiness easily. Enjoying delicious food, taking a walk on a beautiful day—simple things bring me the greatest joy.”

What do you value most in relationships, whether in friendships or work?
“Rather than focusing on others’ behaviors, I try not to do anything I personally dislike. That’s important to me.”
What is a quality you admire in others?
“The ability to acknowledge things openly and honestly.”
What is one personal goal you hope to achieve this year?
“I want to find a meaningful hobby to make the most of my free time.”
